There’s a group of (ex) Birmingham Uni students who’ve taken over the old BBC Birmingham Club on Pershore Rd round the corner from the old Pebble Mill site. Maybe you could help/advise them? They’re setting it up as a social centre / autonomous space, but expect to be evicted pretty quickly. They want to do free meals for the poor, run an advice shop, do gigs to raise money for various good causes. The place is pretty delapidated though.
